Louise's 99th Birthday Wish Come True

On July 9th, 2026 we were able to help the dream of "being surrounded by cats" on her 99th birthday come true for local Clallam County resident, Louise!

In the month of June OPHS brought in over 40 cats & kittens, and when we received a call from a community member who stated that Pamela (Louise's daughter) told her that one of Louise's final wishes was to have a day surrounded by cats.

We were happy to oblige by throwing a little birthday party with Gemma and her 7 kittens. While the kittens wandered her lap, Gemma stayed put right at Louise's side, and Louise pet her throughout the entire interaction. This was such a special moment, and we are so grateful we got to help Louise and her daughter celebrate such a special birthday, and help her wish come true!
